2019 is the beginning of our new initiative through the Kids Hope Project, partnering with Burnside Primary School. Kids Hope is a wonderful opportunity to offer practical help and support to school children – and we take a further step to live as Jesus taught in our community, like a Good Samaritan through acts of kindness. It can be hard to know what to do and how to make a difference in our World. How do I connect with someone new? Who can I be a blessing to? What can I pray for? I want to do something, but what can I do? I don’t really have much time, but what I have I want to use it for something good…
The Kids Hope Project provides answers to these great questions. If you can, stick around for a brief info session. We will provide an overview of what is involved and have some question and answer time. The Project is setup to ensure that as many as possible can be involved. Being able to give and share the gift of care, kindness, time, interest, encouragement and love always opens doors. We are blessed to be a blessing. Come along to an info session and hear about how you can be connected and part of this Project.
We recently held two information sessions on 17 & 24 Feb. We are keen to receive your application forms as soon as possible. You can still find out more, or apply - please speak to Sharon, Laura or Sheila.

A KIDS HOPE mentor is...
KIDS HOPE AUS mentors are the heart and soul of this life changing program. All of our mentors are volunteers with a generous willingness to invest one hour of their week into the life of a child in a local school who needs some extra support from a caring mature adult.
KIDS HOPE AUS mentors are the heart and soul of this life changing program.
The KIDS HOPE AUS church who is providing the mentors to the local school, is trained comprehensively about the importance of finding the right people to represent their Church in the KIDS HOPE AUS program in their partner school. The recruiting, interviewing, screening and training process for mentors is an extremely thorough and professional process that will assist them to find the best possible people to spend time and invest in the lives of the vulnerable KIDS HOPE AUS kids in the school. Below are some do's and don'ts of the roles and responsibilities of KIDS HOPE AUS mentors.
