New Testament in 2020

There are many accessible and encouraging resources online that help us to read, listen and watch the bible.  The method matters less, what matters more is that we engage in the Word of God more.  And even better in community. Would you join us as we read through the New Testament together in 2020?

Maybe you do want to engage with the Bible in other ways....click on the below to discover more.

We live in amazing times where we are so resourced and have significant opportunities to engage with the Word of God.  Many people in the Word pay a high price for just a single Gospel, so let us make use of what we have been given, for to who much is given, much is expected!

The Good News is something so different and so profound, there is nothing like it on earth - that is why Jesus came!  We live in this world, but because of Jesus, we are not of this world.  We need to remind ourselves of who we are, who God says He is and the power and beauty of the Word of God, in His presence and following Jesus.

Check out these four videos below and be encouraged!

Family Service Series

The first Sunday of the Month is a family service where we worship together with Children and Young People remaining with us.  These services are aimed at including kids and young people and attempting to engineer a service that is more accessible and engaging to young people.

2020 Family Service Series is on the Fruit of the Spirit.  We will hear from speakers about how to live by the Spirit is like eating and sharing and serving the best fruit - that is a very ancient biblical way of saying how to live your best life as a disciple, with family and friends, at work and witnessing....

We hope you will join the table and share with us each Family Service this year.

encouragement > for halfway

June is the halfway mark of the year.  Can you believe that 2020 is nearly here because it is June of 2019 - halfway!!!

This month will be about encouragement.  The halfway mark can be good because you are halfway through.  The halfway mark can be not so good, because you still have half to go.

Each of us face a different halfway in our lives right now.  Or we certainly have faced it before, and will face it again.

Maybe halfway through the year is just about reaching the end for a holiday, for a new opportunity, for the end of a season or a key milestone date.

Maybe you are in the middle of a trial, or you feel like you are just in a bliss of peace and you do not want it to end.  Whatever the situation, being encouraged to stay on the trail is vital for faithfulness.

June is about being encouraged in whatever season you are in.  Sundays in June are about encouragement for halfway.  The series commences on 9 June > stay on the trail.

One Thing Series

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT ‘ONE THING’
This Sunday Series seeks to help us practice the Word of God by considering One Thing.
Each Sunday, we are encouraging one another to hear One Thing, to think about One Thing, to believe for One Thing, to do One Thing to make a difference and to act upon One Thing.
The bible has a much to say about One Thing – take a look at these passages:

  • 2 Peter 3:8 > But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day
  • Phil 3:13 > But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
  • Gal 3:2 > I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by observing the law, or by believing what you heard?
  • John 9:25 > He replied, "Whether he is a sinner or not, I don't know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!"
  • Luke 18:22 > When Jesus heard this, he said to him, "You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."
  • Luke 10:42 > but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."
  • Ps 27:4 > One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.
  • Eccl 5:18 > Even so, I have noticed one thing, at least, that is good. It is good for people to eat, drink, and enjoy their work under the sun during the short life God has given them, and to accept their lot in life.
  • John 3:27 > John answered, "A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven.

Commencing Sun 21 April through to 26 May, our focus moves to One Thing.  Our prayer is that the Holy Spirit would speak to each of us as we listen for that One Thing.  Our hope is that we might encourage one another with that One Thing.  Our desire is that we might be a people gathered together for One Thing – and that is to know Jesus…more.
